Presented is a Thunderbird Theatre promotional card signed by Hall of Fame boxers Sonny Liston and Joe Louis. PSA/DNA has encapsulated the card and certified the signatures as “Authentic.” The two legendary heavyweight champions have both signed the interior of the fold-over card (6 x 8 inches unfolded) in blue ink. The signature of Liston is extremely scarce. He died in 1970 at the approximate age of 40 (his birth date was unknown). As a result, his signature is rare today. One side of the card features an image of Liston in a boxing stance and advertises “World Heavyweight Champion/Sonny Liston/Training Daily/in the Thunderbird Theatre-Restaurant/2 P.M. (doors open at 1:30 p.m.).” The opposite side advertises “King of the Drummers/Louis Bellson.” The card displays light toning on front and back but otherwise is in Very Good to Excellent condition.
